Joining two-hundred-fifty multigenerational wholesome dance enthusiasts for classes and performances and building relationships was such an amazing experience! We loved attending our first daCi Gathering and look forward to bringing more dancers to the next one and maybe hosting our own daCi Day of Dance in the Treasure Valley soon!! daCi Gathering
We loved attending the June gathering in Maryland! We got to dance with so many new friends from all over the country. Each night we basked in amazing performances from local artists and daCi gathering participants. One night we had an evening showcase of dance films which included our dance film “Like a Child” — we loved sharing that with our new friends! Our last day we even performed pieces that we created together that week. It was such a special time to connect and we are looking forward to future gatherings and inviting more dancers to join us!
Luminosity is officially a member of daCi, an international organization that supports quality dance education for children everywhere. Luminosity dancers are included with membership benefits including discounts on gatherings and dance workshops.
2026 Youth Video Project
Luminosity Video Projects are faith-based dance works shared on YouTube and other social platforms. Participating dancers learn and create choreography then perform in various locations while being filmed. The footage is edited into one complete video and shared online to radiate God’s light and love through dance.
Youth ages 9-14 can join us this Summer Season in Meridian, Idaho, for the “Faith” Video Project
July 6 – 9 from 9:00 to 11:00am
Printed registration papers and release form will provided and need to be filled out the first day during the parent meeting (July 6 at 9am). This form is to save your spot and get updates and reminders as this project moves forward.
2026 Video Projects
Each year, Luminosity creates one or more uplifting dance films to share God’s light and goodness through dance online. Rehearsals, film dates, and locations vary each year depending on the project. Join us in the creative process as a choreographer and/or dancer, or join in the production process as a videographer, costume designer, location scout, video editor, sound design, or writer.

From the Director
I’ve been to many dance events throughout my life — competitions, conventions, conferences, outreaches, workshops, performances — and I seriously loved my first daCi gathering because it combined all my favorite things from those events. There were performances every night that were enjoyable to watch, expanded our minds, and honored childhood. We had one age level class together each day and the rest of the classes were mixed ages and mixed levels. We ate every meal together — open seating cafeteria style allowed for new friendships to grow and opportunities to have meaningful conversations throughout the week. There were classes to improve as a teacher, but also expert teachers to learn from directly and connect with! We created and performed together on a beautiful stage after working in groups throughout the week. There was transition time and extra down time to play or plan or connect in other ways too. Good vibes, kindness, and connecting through dance set this gathering apart. I am so glad I could go! I am so glad I could bring my daughter! I am so looking forward to bringing more dancers and bringing the daCi way to our corner of the country.
I hope you feel inspired by something this summer to bring more good vibes and kindness to wherever you’re at too!
