ABOUT
Luminosity Artists is a faith-based dance company providing a creative and performing dance experience for teens and adults ages 15 and up. Through the medium of dance, we share our intrinsic brightness of the Light of Christ and our Divine Nature as we aim to become celestial beings together. We seek to radiate light and goodness through wholesome dance by performing inspiring and relatable original dance works.

COMPANY MEETING
At the beginning of each season we will have an online company meeting for all new artists to get to know each other, schedule events, review expectations and plan performances if applicable. When you register below or email LuminosityDanceCompany@gmail.com expressing interest to join, you will be sent a video link for the meeting.
COMPENSATION
All Luminosity Artists are volunteer. Luminosity is not required to compensate performers in any way. When applicable, compensation will be per performance distributed evenly between participating performers. Artists will not get paid unless a donation specifies such.
Work that Artists create for Luminosity, the original creator can opt to monetize independently if the other participating artists agree to their terms. Luminosity Dance Company is not required to compensate Artists for choreography, music, or narrative they create.
There will be no participation fees or company dues.
REHEARSALS
Each dancer’s attendance, attitude, and effort affects the whole company. Please commit to being on time and prepared for all rehearsals and performances. Dancers are required to give at least 24-hour notice if you must miss a rehearsal. Musicians and speaking artists are required to attend select rehearsals as needed.
PERFORMANCE
Performances will vary each season depending on participants and available opportunities. Seasons with full-length shows will have one performance around 50 minutes. Full-length shows will require a dress rehearsal outside of regular rehearsal time. Video projects, outreach, and other performance opportunities may also be available each season.
Performance opportunities and plans will be discussed and decided in the Company Meeting at the beginning of each season or as opportunities arise throughout the season.
COSTUMES
For performances, Artists may be asked to provide their own costumes. Luminosity is not liable for any damage that may occur. Costumes purchased by Luminosity belong to Luminosity and will need to be returned at the close of the season. Please take care of them while wearing and transporting costumes.
CONDUCT
Luminosity Artists are expected to fully participate to the best of their abilities during rehearsals and performances. Please commit to cooperating with other Luminosity Artists, being respectful and kind to each other as well as audiences and professionals we’ll interact with throughout the season.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Luminosity Dance Company and any participating Artists are not liable for personal injuries or loss or damage to personal property. Since dance is a physical activity, injuries may occur. Each dancer may decline to participate in any activity which is harmful to them and is also responsible to inform the choreographer of any physical limitations which may prevent full participation in rehearsal.
PHOTO RELEASE
Artists will receive free digital copies of all photos and videos taken of them throughout the season. By joining Luminosity, you give Luminosity permission to use photos and videos of yourself for promotional purposes in or on any form of promotional material for Luminosity or a Luminosity affiliated event without compensation.
