7/20 – Free Teen and Adult workshop 7:30-9pm
“Focused on the Temple”
Spring 2023 season, the Children’s Ensemble connected each class to the children’s book, “What is a Temple?” Each week we explored a dance concept and related it to one of the pages of the book. Our performance featured three traditional folk dances from countries of some of the dancers’ heritage, an exploration with scarves, and a ballet number.

Youth Activities
Luminosity is offering free activity nights for ages 8-18 this Summer. Connect to the scriptures in a new way and have fun dancing together through a 30-60 minute movement class (length of class is up to you and your group needs). Now accepting instruction requests for May 1 – August 31, 2023.

As I taught for a youth activity this week, I was amazed with the responses in our concluding discussion. I’ve taught the same lesson on Pathways and John 8:12 at least 6 times and every time I learn something new from insights shared by participants! This time someone shared how following Jesus Christ takes self-confidence similarly to following the pathways we did in class. As we do our best to follow His path, our confidence in Him and ourselves increases with each step on or off the path. Thanks again to the Green Valley Ward Young Women for letting me bring dance to you and thanks for teaching me through your experience!
