Our Children’s Ensemble had homework the first day of rehearsal to learn about their family history and return with a country where an ancestor came from. They were so enthusiastic as they shared their connection to different countries around the world or different parts of the United States. We’ve already begun learning dances from these places as part of our focus this season!

Children’s Ensemble Spring Season
The Children’s Ensemble is well underway for our Spring 2023 Season!
We are focusing on the temple this season and connecting dance concepts with inspiration from the children’s book “What is a Temple?” by Briana Wright. The Spring Performance will feature dances from around the world, student work, and a featured ballet dance on April 6 at 6:15pm.
Youth Activities
Luminosity is offering free activity nights this Spring for ages 8-18. Connect to the scriptures in a new way and have fun dancing together through a 30-60 minute movement class (length of class is up to you and your group needs). Now accepting instruction requests for January 1 – April 30, 2023.

Each class of the Children’s Ensemble, we take time to warm up, improve ballet technique, and explore a dance concept each week before working on choreography for the performance. It has felt great to get back into this routine and see the children improving each week already! It is important to remember that perfection is not our goal, progress is. Our progress (both the students’ and mine as a teacher) really energizes and unites us. What a blessing to be allies in this way! Thanks for your continued support!
