We made it through the shortest days and longest nights of the year! I love Spring because it is a time when sunlight increases everyday. I am looking forward to resuming dance this month to add even more light with you through dance this season!

Children’s Ensemble offered Spring Season
Luminosity is still accepting new registrations for the Children’s Ensemble Spring 2023 Season!
Designed for ages 5-8, this company will start weekly classes January 12, 2023 and continue through April 22, 2023. Rehearsals will be Thursdays 6-7pm. We’ll do another parent meeting for the first 15 minutes of the first day of class January 12 at 6pm. The Spring Performance will feature dances from around the world, student work, and a featured ballet dance on April 13 (unless a different date is decided at the parent meeting) with potential outreach performances the week following (again decided at the parent meeting). Rehearsals and performance will be at the Amity Building in Meridian, Idaho.
There is no audition or previous dance experience required to join the Children’s Ensemble. Dancers need to be ages 5-8 as of September 1, 2022. Register online to reserve your spot — there is space for up to 16 dancers this season!
“Like a Dove”
Fall 2022 season, the Children’s Ensemble connected each class to the children’s book, “The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket.” Each week we explored a dance concept and related it to one of the pages of the book. Our performance featured a ballet number and a few creative dances highlighting concepts we worked on in class.
We had so much support for the Children’s Ensemble showing last month! We loved seeing the joy of families enjoying wholesome dance together. Because of your enthusiasm and support for the new Children’s Ensemble, we get to do another season!

Youth Activities
Luminosity is offering free activity nights this Spring for ages 8-18. Connect to the scriptures in a new way and have fun dancing together through a 30-60 minute movement class (length of class is up to you and your group needs). Now accepting instruction requests for January 1 – April 30, 2023.
