Children’s Ensemble
Luminosity is still accepting registrations for the Children’s Ensemble. Designed for ages 5-8, this company will start weekly classes next week on Thursdays 6-7pm. There is an end of season performance on December 8 at the Amity Building in Meridian, Idaho.
There is no audition or previous dance experience required to join the Children’s Ensemble. Dancers need to be ages 5-8 as of September 1. Register online to reserve your spot. We have exceeded the planned maximum of 12 dancers already, but I anticipate changes in the first couple weeks as families solidify schedules and Fall commitments. Please still sign up if you are really interested!
Youth Activities
Luminosity is offering free activity nights this Fall for ages 8-18. Connect to the scriptures in a new way and have fun dancing together through a 45-60 minute movement class. Now accepting instruction requests for September 1 – December 10, 2022.

Call for Dancers
Luminosity is currently seeking all age movers in your community for a special video project in early 2023.

New Lesson Resource
Connect dance to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring uplifting dance to your community using this month’s new lesson plan. Please use and share these resources! They are great for a church youth activity, a friend dance day, or even experiences at home with your family. When you teach with them, please let me know! I love hearing stories of connecting through dance and coming closer to Christ.
- Levels – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9). Throughout exploring movement on different levels, dancers can move through, discuss, and think more about elevating our thoughts and actions to see more as God sees.
When I published the two Psalms videos last month, I hoped for 100 views in the first month. The first got nearly a thousand in the first week, and the second is up to two hundred after two weeks! It was encouraging to see our work celebrated and shared beyond my little social circle.
This year has been a different creative challenge with the video productions instead of live shows, and I am ready to get back to live classes and performances this season. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your dancers at the parent meeting tonight for the Children’s Ensemble!
