Luminosity is seeking intermediate to advanced dancers for a Dance for Camera Project. Register below! Artistic and concept details coming soon!

Auditions

Interested dancers should register below for a free 3 hour workshop, be sure to mark YES you are planning to audition. At the workshop we will learn and create choreography for the video.

Dancers must be 16 years or older to audition.

Commitments

Dancers are expected to devote the following time for rehearsals, performance, and videoing:

• Saturday, October 27th 1-4 pm | Workshop
• Thursday, November 8th 6-8:30 pm | Rehearsal
• Wednesday, November 14th 3-4:30 pm | Dress Rehearsal
• Friday, November 16th 6-7 pm | LIVE PERFORMANCE
• Saturday, November 17th 9-11 am | VIDEO onsite

Rehearsals and performance will be at the Pacifica LDS Stake Center: 730 Sharp Park Road, Pacifica CA. Video will be recorded elsewhere, details will be noted at the beginning of rehearsal November 8th.

Compensation

This is a volunteer project, no compensation will be given upfront. However, if the video produced is received well and gets over 1000 views online or is featured in a film festival or other event, dancers may submit a detailed request for payment. Luminosity will honor up to $100 per dancer depending on dancer’s experience and screen time. By participating in Luminosity’s Dance for Camera Project, you give Luminosity permission to use photos and videos of yourself for promotional purposes in or on any form of promotional material for Luminosity or a Luminosity affiliated event without compensation.

There will be no participation fees or company dues. Costumes will be provided.
